I took this photo of my nephew years ago and have had it on my nightstand ever since then. I can't help but smile or even chuckle a little when I see it. The quality of the photo may not be the best because I took it back in the film days and then to top it off I don't have a scanner at home and had to resort to taking a photo of it with my computer. :) Ah well....it makes me happy and that's all that matters.

Heather + Tom

On June 6, 2009 I traveled to Marshall, MN to help celebrate and photograph the wedding of my dear friend Heather. It was my first time traveling that far all by myself. I got up at 3:30am to get on the road before 5am...just incase I got lost. Turns out I did! I ended up on some crazy but beautiful gravel roads where there was nothing but cows and fields for as far as the eye could see. Five and a half hours later I ended up at my destination but not before I toured the country side of South Dakota and chatted with the locals in Gary, SD. I may have gotten lost on the way there but I still had a great time. Heather and Tom are SO in love and so natural with each other it made me cry a few times to see such great love between two wonderful people.

Last winter on my way back to Fargo from Colorado I stopped along the interstate to capture this photo. I adore photos of bare or dead trees!

While out scouting photo shoot locations for work I take the photos and the Marketing Manager acts as my model. This photo was taken while we went to the small town of Casselton to see if it had that small town feeling we were going for. As it turns out we did not shoot the actual photo shoot there but we did get some fun photos of Laura! Here's a sneak peak.....

Welcome to the Badass Club

I was just thinking about Jed and how I really wish I could be at his big movie showing tomorrow so I guess that's why I decided to post this blog now. I hope it all goes well, I know it will.

Quite a few months back I went with my friend Jed to watch him get his first tattoo. He got the name of his self published book tattooed on his arm. I think we were there for about 3 or 4 hours but I enjoyed watching every minute of it. Okay...okay...so I didn't REALLY watch the whole thing. Like when his arm started bleeding...yep....totally looked the other direction. But, I did really have a good time experiencing that moment with him and he did look pretty bad ass when it was done.

Sweet Ivy Elisabeth

One of my best friends just gave birth to a gorgeous little girl on April 2, 2009. Her name is Ivy Elisabeth and today I got to meet the sweet little thing. Ivy's mom, Laura, and I have been best friends for many years now so hanging out with her family feels kind of like I am hanging out with my own. With a house full of people I still managed to get a few pictures of Ivy but I sense a photo shoot soon filled with lots of fun wardrobe and location changes. :)
I haven't gone through all the photos yet so I may post more later but in the mean time.....
