Bloody Knuckles. Broken Heart.

I consider myself lucky to have met Jed Brazier. Jed is a man of great creative talent and has an enormous heart. A few months back we got together and spent a few hours shooting pictures. I needed practice on studio shots and he needed some photos of himself for his book. By the end of the shoot I was laughing so hard I could hardly hold my camera still....thanks for making me take blurry pictures Jed! ;-)
Jed wrote a book of poetry and short stories and has recently made a website to promote his book. His book had me laughing, crying and just overall impressed me. Have I mentioned lately how blessed I feel to have such creative friends!? Everyone should check out his website and order a copy of the book. I could not put it down!

The "M" family

During a family get together at my parents farm, my cousins and I went down to the old farm yard to snap a few photos. Directly following these photos a huge snow fight broke out between all the cousins. Thank goodness I was holding my camera and they knew they couldn't touch me. haha.

GAP model perhaps?

My nephew, Jevan, flew in from Colorado to spend christmas with us this past year. I love taking pictures of him and hardly get to see him so I subjected the poor little guy to a mini photo shoot. There was some bribbing involved but he was alot more patient then I thought he would be. Lucky for me he is adorable even when he isn't cooperating. :)

Looking up to grumpa.

This has to be my favorite photo to date. I took this of my nephew and my dad while out riding around some old bikes my dad pulled out of storage. This was the summer of 2008.

The "P" Family

An old coworker and dear friend of mine asked me to come out to her farm and take some photo's of her and her family. I had a blast and was so excited to see how well the pictures of her kids turned out.

Weddings!

To start off I thought I would post some of my favorite wedding photos. These are just a few of the hundreds, maybe thousands of photo's I have shot at friends weddings.

Bloggerific!

I decided to start a blog! I feel so professional now. :)

I am a Graphic Designer who is trying to get into photography.

When I told my family I was going into graphic design I was told repeatedly I should go into something in the medical field or find a career where I could make a lot of money. Everyone telling me I could never make it as a "creative" person just fueled me to prove to them and myself that as long as you are truly passionate about what you can do there is nothing that will stop you from becoming one of the best in your field. Don't get me wrong, money is nice but waking up each morning excited about what you do is much more important.

I have design and photography in my blood. I am horribly passionate about both and put my heart and soul into them. One day my hope is that people will look at my work and be inspired to find something that they too are passionate about.

I hope you enjoy seeing some of my work as much as I enjoy shooting each and every shot!
